Breed: English Setter
:
English Setters are tall with a relatively slight build.
They grow up to 24-27 inches at the withers.
They weight between 59-63 pounds.
English setters have an aristocratic head and a muscular neck.
They have beautiful, large, soft eyes.
Their coat is long and silky, having a flecked mixture of orange, lemon, or liver and white. (This flecking is called "belton").
Their coat requires regular grooming and brushing.
English Setters can be trained to work the field searching for pheasant, partridge or grouse.
When the quarry is scented, the dog comes to a full stop and "setts" on to the object.
English Setters need firm but calm discipline.
They are very outgoing and friendly dogs.
