Breed: Tibetan Terrier
:
The Tibetan Terrier is not a terrier at all!
But it is believed to have been bred by Tibetan monks centuries ago.
Tibetan Terriers were treasured as symbols of good luck.
They were used as guard dogs and will still do a good job of guarding their home.
The Tibetan Terrier is a small to medium sized dog, about 13-17 inches high at the withers.
They weigh between 18 and 30 pounds.
Tibetan Terriers have ears that hang down and tail that curls up on the back -- well covered with fur.
Their coat is full with fine, long hair that can be wavy or straight, and it can be fairly demanding to keep well groomed.
They can be white, golden, cream, grey, black, or multicolored -- any color except chocolate or liver.
Tibetan Terriers love plenty of exercise.
The Tibetan Terrier is an outgoing, energetic, and intelligent dog.
