Breed: Wheaten Terrier

The full name of the Wheaten Terrier is the Soft-coated Wheaten Terrier.
This breed originated in Ireland where it was a hunder, guard dog, and herder.
Wheaten Terriers are square built and are about 18-19 inches high at the withers.
They weigh between 35 and 45 pounds.
They have ears that fold over, a short tail, and a black nose.
Their hair is long and silky and very soft, but doesn't require a lot of grooming.
They have a lot of hair on their faces, so it is hard to see their eyes.
Wheaten Terriers come in one color -- wheat!
Soft-coated Wheaten Terriers love people and get along with other dogs.
They enjoy lots of exercise and play.
Wheaten Terriers are spirited, good-natured, friendly dogs.
