Sirius of the Week for September 17 - 23, 2000
ANgel is a Chihuahua that was born deaf. She lives with her humans,
Helen and Chuck, in Cookeville, Tennessee.
She is a Service Dog, Therapy Dog and loves to have her picture taken.
This photo was taken when she was 14 weeks old.
She is a year old now and wakes up with a smile on her face
every morning.
Deafness doesn't stop her from doing anything. She can smell and see
what she can't hear, and she uses her other senses to compensate for
her lack of hearing.
ANgel was a rescue pup and was Millennium Dog for Net Paws.
She won the last THE POOP photo contest of 1999. She has
two other brothers that are rescues, one was a fear-biter
and one was going blind. And, her loving mom writes that ANgel
"is my soul".
