Sirius of the Week for July 9 - 15, 2006

Maggie is the star this week and her person-mom says,

"Maggie is my heart. She came into my life at 5 weeks old, huddled down in the backseat floor of an old junker car, shivering uncontrollably. I exchanged money for joy. From that moment, she has brought me life, true love, and constant companionship. She is, like most boxers, extremely intelligent, loyal to a fault, very verbal, and emotionally well aware of her loved ones. Her favorite foods are whatever we are eating at the time. She eats from silverware better than most kids. She will bend herself into a pretzel for a taste.

"Her personal joys in life are escorting her dad around the driveway while he's riding the tractors or work truck. Moving cows and helping in the barnyard are also high on her list of great fun things to do. Chasing in itself, whether cows, cats, squirrels ... if it runs, it's fun. She puts many a mile on those 4 paws.

"She's learned from hours of watching how to change engines, repair tractors, tires, and farm equipment. She rests after her long, wonderful day, usually nestled up on the couch with her dad, hopefully dreaming of what adventures and happiness tomorrow will bring. Oh... and she's 8, a very young 8."
