Sirius of the Week for July 2 - 8, 2000
Sweetpea is a Shih-Tzu/Poodle, now about 6 years old. Her person-mom
rescued her from a busy highway in Texas 3 years ago and brought her
home to Pennsylvania. Sweetpea was almost totally blind when her
mom rescued her. Her right eye is permanently damaged and cannot be
repaired. She had a cataract removed
from her left eye which "brought her back to life," so-to-speak.
Sweetpea follows her mom all around, and as her mom says,
she is..."the cutest thing that walks this earth!" Sweetpea is
absolutely the joy of her mom's life.
Sweetpea has a Big Bird toy which is her favorite of all toys,
and she makes it talk. It says, "ha ha ha, That's funny," and, oh,
how Sweetpea loves it. She even brings Big Bird in to bed at night.
