Sirius of the Week for January 1 - 7, 2006

Our Sirius this week is Zoe Jane McVicar, and her person mom writes,

"I am the human mother of Zoe Jane McVicar, a four year old West Highland White Terrier. Here she is shown at her fourth birthday party with her cake.

"Zoe loves to play with her friend (my mother's 80 pound yellow Labrador) Katie. Zoe was the runt of her litter and tips the scales at 10 pounds. She is about 10 pounds under the breed standard and about half the height. This just makes us love her more. No one can leave the house without a "hitchhiker". Zoe loves to ride in the car and is able to distinguish between our Yukon and our Jeep. Her favortie thing is to ride in the Jeep with the doors off. She rides in the back seat, seatbelted in to avoid any accidents. If you don't take her with you she will dance at the back window. When we arrive home you will often find us sitting in the back driveway with the stereo on pretending she is dancing to the music. Her biggest conquest was at four months old and less than 5 pounds was killing a rat bigger than her and bringing it home for Mommy...Thanks Zoe! She loves to chase chipmunks but rarely comes close to catching one. We have witnessed her trying to climb trees to get at them. I supppose one day I will find her half way up a tree with a chipmunk and no way to get down."
