Siriuses of the Week for June 5 - 11, 2005

Our stars this week are Maggie and Jesse. Their person-mom writes,

"Maggie and Jesse are our two Shelties. Maggie is our six year old sable Sheltie and she loves playing ball. She and her four year old, bi-blue, pet sister Jesse like to fight over who gets to play ball. When Jesse gets a rare chance to steal the ball, she will take it away so that Maggie can no longer play. They both love going for walks and snacking on peanut butter and bread on the rare occasion that their dad sneaks them some. We are unable to determine who the culprits are but both like emptying and sometimes eating the contents of garbage pails and they especially love eating Chapstick. They are both very special to us. We have always said joking that Jesse is our 'special dog' because she has Albert Einstein eyebrows, a very bad underbite and can be quite clumsy. We recently discovered that Jesse is in fact a very special dog as she has recently started having seizures which resulted in her becoming blind in her right eye. We love her dearly and have decided to make her quality of life better and introduced medication to help stop these seizures. Our hope is that both Maggie and Jesse can have a long life together with us and their pet sister Riley, our six year old tabby cat."
