Sirius of the Week for Jun. 27 - Jul. 3, 2004

This week our star is Jules, who writes:

"Hi, This letter is from Jules. I was a male 3 1/2 year old, yellow Lab from Merryfield Kennels in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, until 2 years ago. They said I was purebred, but my ears are darker than my coat, they are too long, and my nose has no pigment (note my pinkish/purple nose). However, according to my Momi, I am 100%, regardless of the AKC Standards.

"I now live in Plantation, Florida. I am the only child, so I am relatively spoiled. I need to be with my Momi at every moment -- I have a blanket or bed in every room and the kitchen, so I can keep an eye on her. Whatever room I go to I bring one of my many stuffed animal squeaky toys. I have to cut back to just a mouse, monkey, and my new porcupine. Late at night when everyone looks tired, I like to repeadely squeak my toys just for a little attention. Hoping for a ride in my SUV, which I love riding around in even if it's just around the block. Followed by a snack of pizza, my favorite food, and a good night of sleep on my Momi's king size bed, which I take 3/4 of. I love the silk duvet and Egyptian cotton sheets so I can leave hair all over them. I snore a little, and I hear that I shed a lot, but I love getting dressed up, as you can see in the photo of me and my boa. Thanks, Jules."

And Jules' person-mom has some thoughts to share:

"I am Jules' Momi, and I can honestly say I have never seen him write so much, but I guess it is about himself, so he gives more effort. He is by far the most loving dog I have ever owned. He doesn't leave my side for 1 minute, and always has his nose pressed against my leg. Jules is a character and has been since he was a puppy. When I first saw him and they put him in a room, the first thing he did was jump around like a deer and attack the toys. Thankfully, he hasn't changed. I occasionally put a scarf on him, but I chose a boa I got from a New Year's Eve part in London, and he liked it and kept it on... Hopefully you will find him as cute and beautiful as I do."
