Sirius of the Week for January 11 - 17, 2004

Our submitter writes,

"Mocha is a 6 year old Pug-Crocker Spaniel mix dog born in Venice, California in April 1997, who now lives in Los Angeles.

"I actually found her while in Venice Beach on the Boardwalk walking and saw a lot of people gathered around and went to see what was going on and all I saw was this big box with a sign on it saying free and one little dog sitting in it, and I picked her up and never put her down. She was a month old and has been with me since. I have traveled to Israel to live and Canada to visit family and she went with me every step of the way. She is a well traveled dog.

"She is smart like a human, LOVES to play ball, only a tennis ball though. Show her a tennis ball and that's it. Consider yourself playing with her for the rest of the night or day. If she hears the word ball, she goes to search for her tennis ball and will bring it to you to play with her.

"She is spoiled and acts as if she has to sleep on a bed, just as we do. If I do not let her get into bed with me, she will wait until I fall asleep and jump in and by morning time when I am ready to wake, there she is cuddled up next to me with her head on my shoulder. Sitting on the floor, carpet even is not good enough. She jumps on the couch pillows, will not sit on a bare floor and refuses to let one eat in peace. She has to have a bite of everything you are eating and there is not one thing she does not like.

"But she is the love of my life, my best friend and the best companion in the world."
