Sirius of the Week for February 16 - 22, 2003

This is Vanderbilt, a male Maltese. He is 1 1/2 years old. His human-parents got him on their way home from the Biltmore Estates, previously owned by the Vanderbilts, and a location his parents enjoy visiting. His person mom had been wanting a lap dog for a long time, so they got a paper on the way home, found a place, stopped by, and bought him. They decided to name him Vanderbilt.

This picture was taken a couple of months ago. Vanderbilt had gotten ahold of his mom's purse and into the lipstick, which was all over him -- so he couldn't try to get away with it. Lipstick was all over the kitchen floor, too. He also chewed his mom's hearing aid into many little pieces. Luckily, the insurance company paid to have it replaced. Other than that, he is the very best, loving lap dog a person could have. And everyone cracks up when they see this photo.
